Timmins Police is investigating after a man was found with no vital signs this morning at McDonald's.
Corporate communications co-ordinator Marc Depatie said the man, who is in his 50s and known to police, was found in the bathroom earlier this morning.
“The person appears to have been in some kind of medical distress, at least that was the origin of the original call. He was found to be VSA (vital signs absent), transported to Timmins and District Hospital where he was pronounced as deceased," said Depatie.
While police held the scene to allow for an investigation, it has since been released.
"At this point we don’t suspect foul play, we are expecting a post mortem to be scheduled at some point in the days to follow. Pending the outcome of the post-mortem, that will give us the further direction that the investigation will take,” he said.
