Find out what's trending this weekend at the Mac.

The annual Home, Cottage and Lifestyle Show is taking over the curling club and arena at the McIntyre Community Building on May 4-5.

Hosted by the Timmins Construction Association (TCA), the event features over 70 exhibitors who will be showcasing a variety of products from home improvements to outdoor living.

"This event not only showcases the incredible talent and innovation in our community and industry, but is a fundraiser to support the important work of the Timmins Construction Association," said Jamie Clark, TCA president, in a news release.

"Whether you're planning a major renovation project, seeking inspiration, or simply looking for a weekend outing, this is the perfect opportunity to gather ideas and resources under one roof."

Along with connecting to industry experts, there are activities for the kids.

There is a popsicle stick structure-building contest for students from kindergarten to Grade 12.

Kits can be picked up at both branches at the Timmins Public Library and submissions must be brought to the show on Sunday, May 5 by noon. The creations will be judged on accuracy and creativity, with three winners taking home movie passes.

On Saturday, May 4, Masonic Lodge members will be on site for the child identification program — MACONICh.I.P. It uses police-approved techniques to create a child identification kit for free.

There are also new additions to the offerings this year.

On Saturday, there are inflatables and on Sunday there is mini-golf.

The hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 4, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 5. Admission is $5 per person and children 12 years and under are free.
