The Timiskaming Health Unit is reporting one new positive COVID-19 test.
It's the 29th confirmed case of the virus for the health unit region.
According to the health unit, it's a person in the northern part of the region, which is the Kirkland Lake area.
"The case is currently under investigation and the person is self-isolating. Contact tracing is underway and those who have been identified as close contacts have been, or are in the process of being notified," reads the bulletin.
Of the confirmed cases, 24 people are recovered. There are five known active cases of the virus.
In the Timiskaming region, there are assessment centres in the areas of Temiskaming Shores, Englehart, Kirkland Lake, and Temagami. Testing is by appointment only.
