With hand sanitizer at the entrances, physical distancing stickers on the ground and customers wearing masks, this year's Urban Park Market looks a little different.
There are familiar faces in the vendors selling their fresh produce, baked goods, cheeses, and more, though.
The 2020 Urban Park Market kicked off this morning on Third Avenue downtown Timmins.
About 10 producers were on hand for the first week, and the number of vendors is expected to grow to about 18 by the end of the summer.
The weekly market is held every Thursday on Third Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In past years, the event has been set up at different locations every week. This summer it will be held in the same spot every week on Third Avenue. While it was from Spruce to Cedar for the first one, as more vendors are added it will be extended to three blocks.
