Four new COVID-19 cases reported

One is linked to the Extendicare Kapuskasing outbreak

The Porcupine Health Unit has reported four new COVID-19 cases.

Two of those cases are in the Kapuskasing area, with one being linked to the ongoing outbreak at Extendicare Kapuskasing. Two are in the area of Hearst, Hornepayne and are the contacts of a case. All of the people are in self-isolation.

To date, there have been 289 confirmed cases of the virus in the region. Of those, 200 are recovered and 20 people have died. There are 69 known active cases.

There are COVID-19 assessment centres in Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and Hornepayne.
