More services are reopening to the public at Timmins city hall today.

City hall reintroduced limited services last week for people to pay or ask questions about their property taxes or water and wastewater bill.

The phased-in approach for reopening the rest of the services was announced yesterday.

Today, more is being offered at Service Timmins.

The services being offered are: buy a parking permit or pay a parking ticking, buy a business or lottery licence, get a marriage licence, commissioning, committee of adjustment information and payments, permitting and payment for small accessory structures and temporary tent structures.

According to the city, face-to-face meetings with staff are still prohibited and will contine over the phone or virtually.

There are also a number of safety precautions in place at city hall.

The measures include physical distancing, proper PPE, sanitizing, and hand sanitizing stations.
