One new COVID-19 case in Kapuskasing area

One new COVID-19 case is being reported in the Porcupine Health Unit region today.

It is in the area of Kapuskasing, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Moonbeam, and Fauquier-Strickland. The person is a contact of a case and in self-isolation, according to the health unit.

This is the 292nd confirmed case of the virus in the region. Of those, at least 193 are recovered and 20 people have died.

There are COVID-19 assessment centres in Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and Hornepayne.
