Charlie Angus, Michelle Boileau, Cedric and Celine Bradette, their children, Matthieu Quirion and Ryan Serravalle cut the ribbon on the new Revel Realty office in Timmins on July 10.

A new real estate office in town is hoping to bring a warmer feel to buying or selling a home.

Revel Realty opened its office on Wednesday (July 10), offering what sales representative and head coach Cedric Bradette sees as a community-based approach to buying a home.

“It’s about the experience, so it’s not just about buying or selling a house. It’s about the experience from start to finish,” said Bradette.

The draw of that experience also worked on his fellow realtors as the team grew.

“Originally, I was thinking of just having one or two other teammates on board with me,” he said. “But we grew exponentially really fast, and now we’re at 13.”

Revel Realty is based in Niagara and has 30 offices across the province.  The office in Timmins, however, is tied to some family history for founder and CEO Ryan Serravalle, whose grandparents settled in Timmins when they immigrated to Canada from Italy.

“It felt like the right decision, and having Cedric here in the community, it just made sense and it makes this office special,” he said. “My parents even had their honeymoon in Timmins!”

The new office is located at 255 Algonquin Blvd. W. The space on the second floor is warm and inviting and that was on purpose, said sales representative Perry Rinaldo.

“This is the biggest purchase of your life, so we want it to feel like you’re making the biggest purchase of your life,” he said.

That feeling of community and being special also extends to the realtors in the office.

“Real estate can be a really lonely industry for a lot of people because everyone works on their own,” said Bradette. “What we’re trying to open something that’s different, as we’re all on the same team.”
