A well-known business supply store in Timmins will close at the end of July.
Staples, located at 1485 Riverside Dr., will close at the end of the month. Local staff confirmed the announcement when contacted on Monday.
An inquiry to the company’s head office in Richmond Hill, Ont., offered no information about the closure. Inquiries about the closure were directed to the local store.
However, a company representative did note that local residents and businesses will still be able to order supplies and equipment through Staples online.
“For confirmation, yes, customers will still be able to purchase supplies through Staples Online,” the email statement read.
Staples has more than 300 stores across Canada, employing more than 15,000 full- and part-time staff.
Staples products include office supplies, office furniture, copy and print services, school supplies, legal supplies and technology, such a computers, cellphones, tablets and business machines.
