This Saturday was the third annual GNC Naturals competition hosted by Moe Belec and Ernie Biasetti.

The competition was an Ontario Physique Association (OPA) sanctioned event and was a Natural Provincial Qualifier.

The competition was held at Timmins High and Vocational School.

A total of 29 men and women competed in several areas including body building, physique, and bikini.

Belec stated “We were successful due to the sponsors who supported the show. We, of course, are also grateful no matter how many athletes we have, but we would have liked to have a minimum of 60 to 75 competitors for more competition. This is for Ernie and I, a good learning experience.“

With 60 to 75 competitors, it would have allowed for six to eight participants per division.

As this competition was a regional competition, having more participants would also mean that people would not be able to move to the Provincial levels as easily.

Competitors were pre-judged in the morning, and awards were issued in the evening of the competition.
