Northern pop duo gaining international traction

The pair have been working hard at their craft for years and are starting to have their music recognized worldwide

THUNDER BAY — Two local pop singers are having their music recognized internationally.

Will and Charlie Lockyer have been making music since they were young, and recently, their tunes have been picked up across the world.

According to a release, Surfing Australia TV used the Lockyer Boys’ song “Surfing in L.A.” on a recent episode.

Their most recent single, "What It Feels Like" was used by Team Canada member Alex Loutitt, a ski jumping world champion. That post got over a million views.

“It’s an amazing feeling to see people around the world tell their story with our music” Will said in the release.

“It seems like we haven’t stopped moving for more than a week or two this year with shows in LA, Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg and everywhere in between. We’ll have to see what the future holds down under!” Charlie added.

On July 26, Lockyer Boys, will release their next single “Letting Go.”

It will be their first release with Grammy-winning Los Angeles producer Mikal Blue, who has worked with famous names like One Republic, Colbie Caillat, and Jason Mraz.

On August 29, Lockyer Boys will be live in Thunder Bay as they team up with Choir Revolution and DJ Syrën for the “Live on the Waterfront - Summer Send Off."
