As water from Porcupine Lake rises, traffic is being impacted in some areas.
In South Porcupine, Evans Street is closed. Water is also spilling onto Lakeview Drive between Bloor and Bruce Avenue.
For people needing to access Connaught Hill, the alternate route is the back road (Gold Rush/Haileybury Crescent) around Porcupine Lake.
The Mattagami Region Conservation Area issued a flood warning for Porcupine Lake and the Mattagami River yesterday.
Timmins Police are also reminding residents of the potential consequences of driving on roads that are closed.
"Motorists found on closed roadways will, depending on the circumstances, be served with an Offence Notices under the applicable section of the Highway Traffic Act which carry monetary fines and three demerit points," said police.
