If you need to get to the airport this summer, you’ll have to take Laforest Road.
Work to replace the Kraft Creek Bridge starts tomorrow (June 28) at 5 a.m. The road will be closed between Lafleur Drive and Laforest Road until Sept. 2.
During the closure, to get to the airport you'll have to use Laforest Road, which can be accessed by Highway 655 or MacLean Drive.
In February, Miller Paving was awarded the $4.5-million project.
The city was approved for funding for the work in 2016 through the Small Communities Fund, which has equal contributions (33.3 per cent each) from the municipal, provincial and federal governments. The money received through the grant must be spent by Dec. 31, 2020.
