A boil water advisory has been issued for Val Gagne.

The statement was issued by Black River-Matheson today (Jan. 17).

According to the town, due to a loss of pressure in the water system overnight, effective immediately, affected residents are required to boil their tap water before using it.

"Water can be made safe by boiling for at least one minute at a rolling boil. Boiled water should be stored in a clean container in the refrigerator," reads the statement.

"You will be notified when service is returned to normal and the water is safe to drink again."

The town is recommending anyone with questions or concerns contact the Ontario Clean Water Agency at 705-273-2464 or 705-648-4267.

More information on the advisory is available here.
