TIMMINS - An annual bonspiel continues to throw its support behind the hospital.
At the Northern Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) annual curling event, $33,800 was raised for the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (TADHF).
It includes $23,800 from NADA for the pediatrics unit and $10,000 for high-priority needs from the Timmins Garage team.
The group spends months planning for the annual event, said Stefano Lodovici in a news release.
"The most joy comes from knowing this donation will support the pediatrics unit at TADH," he said.
The foundation says it's fortunate to have incredible partners throughout the region supporting the hospital.
"These gifts support the high-priority needs to TADH and will make available essential equipment designed specifically for the unique size of infants and children," said TADHF manager of donor relations Barb McCormick.
