On Sept. 7, a Thessalon resident was arrested after campers were evicted from an area campground. It is alleged that one of them was observed "defecating beside a seasonal trailer," says a news release issued by OPP.
Police say a sibling of one of the evicted campers later threatened campground staff and fled the area on foot.
Responding officers identified the accused using video surveillance footage.
As a result of this investigation, 39-year-old Mark Vasey was located, arrested and charged with uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm.
Vasey is scheduled to appear in court in Elliot Lake on Oct. 3.
The allegations have not been tested in court and Vasey is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
