Provincial supremacy is on the line in Timmins this weekend, as the 2017 Ontario Hockey Federation Bantam 'AA' Championships roll into town.
The five team tournament features:
- Garden City Falcons (St. Catharines)
- Humber Valley (Etobicoke)
- London Jr. Knights (London)
- Nickel City Jr. Sons (Sudbury)
- Timmins North Stars
Action kicks off in the morning at 10 a.m., but the official opening ceremony takes place on Friday evening. Mayor Steve Black is expected to attend.
A weekend pass to see all of the games is $25. A day pass can be purchased for $10. Kids under 12 have free admission.
"It should be some really good hockey. It's the best bantam 'AA', 13 and 14 year old players in the province. We're pretty excited to be hosting," said Jamie Roach, President of the Timmins Minor Hockey Association and Chair of the OHF committee.
All games will take place at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex.
