Get ready to cheer on the Blues as the best teams from across Ontario dribble into town.
Timmins High & Vocational School is hosting the OFSAA A Basketball Championship March 6-8. The games are being played at Timmins High and Roland Michener Secondary School.
With 20 of the best teams hitting the court, it means there will be over 600 players, coaches and supporters in town next week.
Timmins High is seeded seventh going into the event, which they automatically get to play at being the tournament host. Kapuskasing District High School won NEOAA and is seeded fifth.
Ahead of the action on the court, a banquet for all of the participants is being held at the Dante Club on Sunday, March 5. The guest speaker is Thomas Cory, who is the men's basketball coach at Nipissing University in North Bay.
