The City of Timmins has named its new director of finance.
At the March 27 council meeting, CAO Dave Landers announced that Natalie Moore will be taking over for Jim Howie, who is retiring in April.
Landers said the competitive process to replace Howie was held earlier this year.
“We did receive applicants from both within the organization and from outside of the organization. After a series of interviews, we decided to appoint Natalie Moore as the director of finance for the City of Timmins,” he said.
Moore has worked at the city for 12 years, starting as the chief accountant.
“Her current role is the deputy director of finance and so she’s been working alongside Jim for many years,” Landers said.
While Howie’s final council meeting will be next month, Tuesday’s session was the last for IT Director Dave Laneveille, who is also retiring.
