SUDBURY - Learning how businesses can mitigate and adapt to climate change will be the focus of conversation during the 2024 Regional Business Forum being hosted by reThink Green on Nov. 29.
Innovation in Climate Change is the theme for this year's event, which is scheduled to take place during a morning session at the Holiday Inn in Sudbury.
ReThink Green is a Sudbury-based organization that assists companies in reducing their emissions and making their businesses more sustainable over the long term.
This year's keynote speaker will be Peter Bruijns, the executive director of the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre, who will speak about environmental action in a new context for Northern Ontario businesses.
There will also be a panel discussion about the unique perspectives that Northern Ontario industries have on sustainability.
Participants in the discussion will include Jessica Hall, manager of the grants program at Science North and Dynamic Earth; Daniel Cronin, the community engagement officer with the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre; and Dr. Aliki Economides, an associate professor with the McEwen School of Architecture.
