Cochrane has launched a community survey as part of its organizational review.
The survey, which according to the town takes five to 10 minutes to complete, was launched Friday (Feb. 23) and will be available until mid-March.
“The Town of Cochrane is excited to announce the launch of a comprehensive community survey, a key component of our ongoing organizational review,” reads a news release.
“This initiative is aimed at closely aligning municipal operations with the evolving needs and expectations of our community, while simultaneously supporting and empowering our dedicated staff.”
The town said the organization review is to reinforce what's working well in the current structure and identify areas for improvement.
The survey is to gather insight into the community’s interactions and experiences with the town’s public services.
“This feedback will be instrumental in guiding improvements, highlighting strengths, and fostering innovative solutions,” reads the news release.
“The survey underscores the town’s commitment to creating a responsive, thriving environment that benefits everyone in Cochrane.”
A third-party consulting firm has been hired for the review to ensure anonymity and promote candid feedback.
Mayor Peter Politis said they are looking for honest, thoughtful and constructive feedback to help build “an organizational framework robust enough to meet today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges.”
“The heart of Cochrane is its community, and your input through this survey will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction and focus of our organization… We invite you to have your voice heard. This is your opportunity to contribute to shaping Cochrane’s future. We value your input, we are listening.”
