TIMMINS - It's time to start planning for the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY).
A team captains meeting for the Timmins fundraiser is coming up on Jan. 25 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT) office, 187 Cedar St. S.
The eighth Coldest Night of the Year walk in Timmins is on Feb. 22. This year's goal is to raise $65,000 for ACT to support their work in increasing access to fresh, healthy and affordable food.
For the walk, participants walk either a two-kilometre or five-kilometre route, which starts and ends at the ACT office in downtown Timmins. Everyone who raises at least $150 ($75 for youth) will receive an iconic CNOY toque.
