A walk-in bathtub for residents at Spruce Hill Lodge is getting closer to reality.
Recently the tub was donated to the seniors independent living facility in South Porcupine, and a $715 donation from Giant Tiger at the Porcupine Mall will help with the cost to install it.
The money was raised through a round up fundraiser at the store.
There is still some money to raise to help cover the installation costs. Anybody wanting to contribute can contact Spruce Hill at 705-235-8200. The non-profit facility is located in the former Porcupine General Hospital building at 200 Bruce Ave. W.
