One person is dead following a crash in South Porcupine this morning, according to police.
The crash between an eastbound pickup truck and westbound passenger vehicle happened east of the Bruce Street Y on Highway 101 around 11:35 a.m.
The male driver of the passenger vehicle was brought to hospital. Timmins Police corporate communications co-ordinator Marc Depatie said the driver succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.
While the stretch of road between Legion Drive and the Bruce Street Y was closed for the investigation today, it has since re-opened in both directions.
Depatie said it will be closed again in the morning (Nov. 13). The start time and how long it will be closed is not known.
Police are looking to talk to people who witnessed the crash.
