Drivers warned of poor conditions along rural road

The Ministry is recommending people use Price Road instead of Papakomeka Road right now

Driving hazards along the first four kilometres of Papakomeka Road has prompted an advisory from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF).

The first four kilometres of the road is in poor condition with muddy, rutted sections that are risks for vehicles, according to the Ministry.

"The ministry recommends that drivers use Price Road as an alternate," reads the advisory.  "There is also a section of rough road at kilometre 29 that drivers should avoid. Ministry staff are working to get repairs done as quickly as possible, but Papakomeka road needs to be dry before any maintenance can begin."

Papakomeka Road is located south of Pine Street in the area of Bartlett Township at the 35-kilometre marker.
