Dwight the bear released back into the wild (4 photos)

He was rescued in Schumacher last year

A bear cub rescued over a year ago in Schumacher has been released back into the wild.

The bear, known as Dwight, was rescued by Timmins Police in May 2019 and taken to the Bear With Us sanctuary in Sprucedale.

A couple days ago, he was released in the Matachewan area.

Dwight weighed only five pounds when he was picked up. When we was released he weighed in around 150 pounds, looking more like an adult than yearling.
