NEWS RELEASE
TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

The Timmins Police Service is pleased to report that a bear cub that was rescued in Schumacher on May 1 of this year is thriving in his new surroundings at the Bear With Us facilities in Sprucedale, Ontario. Dwight (named after Dwyer Street, where he was located) is a gregarious little fellow who has made quick friends with four other bear cubs of this year’s yield. The other cubs, all siblings, have taken to Dwight as one of their own.

The progress report goes on to state that Dwight is an avid wrestler and tree climber and most notably, a St-Louis Blues fan, which is odd as they were up against the Boston Bruins (bear reference is obvious) for Lord Stanley’s Cup.

The Timmins Police Service is considering hosting a 'Name That Bear' contest so that he has a name more in keeping with his Timmins roots.

Negotiations with the facilities coordinator for the right to do so are ongoing. For the moment however, Dwight is content, active, and well looked after in his current billet.

Another issue put to rest is that Dwight does in fact take a poo in the woods, which effectively puts to rest the age old question about that sort of thing. Yet another mystery solved courtesy of the Timmins Police Service.
