Cochrane District Crime Stoppers is hoping to raise money by getting residents to say ‘yes’ to one of multiple dresses for this year’s prom season.

Crime Stoppers is holding a Prom Dress Swap and Shop event for teens wishing to purchase a gently used dress at a reduced price.

The initiative sees gently used prom and formal dresses donated by local residents for the, and sold at a reduced cost.

Although the fundraiser is geared toward teens, Crime Stoppers will not turn away others who would not normally be able to afford a formal dress for various occasions.

Residents wishing to donate prom/formal dresses may do so by dropping them off anytime to the Timmins Police Service.

Viewing, exchanging and purchasing dresses will take place on the following dates from 6 – 7:30 p.m.:

Tuesday, April 14
Tuesday, April 28
Tuesday, May 12
Tuesday, May 26
Tuesday, June 9
