A flood warning has been issued for the Mattagami River.
With the recent rain, the Timmins Flood Advisory Committee says the water levels on rivers and streams in the Mattagami River watershed are rising steadily.
"The exact extent of the flooding is difficult to predict at this time and will depend on the weather in the coming days," reads the notice.
"Over the next 24 hours low-lying areas may experience nuisance flooding. No residences are expected to be impacted at this point in time. Everyone living in or near a flood hazard area is encouraged to monitor the conditions that are developing and to take the appropriate actions to protect their property."
The committee is continuing to monitor the water levels and will issue further bulletins if necessary.
