A Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) flood watch for the Timmins district has been extended.
The MNRF issued the watch over the weekend, and has extended it until Friday, May 10.
"Residents in and around Minisinakwa Lake including low-lying areas of Gogama should keep a close watch on conditions, regularly check for updated messages and stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams. Residents are advised that there is a potential risk of flooding in the coming days," reads the notice.
Over the past week, the ministry says water levels and flows in some of the watersheds have slowed.
With the warmer temperature and precipitation in the forecast, levels are expected to rise as the remaining snowpack melts.
"Increased flows and water levels are anticipated to impact the system throughout early next week," according to the MNRF.
In the City of Timmins, a Mattagami Region Conservation Authority flood warning remains in effect for the Mattagami River and Porcupine Lake.
The flood warning is in effect until today.
The Timmins Flood Advisory Committee will be re-evaluating the conditions today.
