By mid-afternoon on June 13, there were four active fires in the region.

  • Sudbury 19, located on an Island on Whitson Lake, was also discovered on June 12 and is not under control at 1 hectare
  • Cochrane 3, located in Peawanuck, was discovered on June 11 and is being held at 8 hectares
  • Sudbury 18, which is located on an Island on Joe Lake, was discovered on June 11 and is being held at 0.4 of a hectare
  • Cochrane 2, located near the community of Peawanuck, was discovered on June 11 and is not under control at 122 hectares

The forest fire hazard ranges from low to moderate across the region.
