The YMCA MobYle program is back on the streets this summer.

A free program keeping youth active is making the rounds again this summer.

The YMCA MobYle is a free program that sets up in parks across Timmins and gives children a chance to be physically active while being supervised.

“The YMCA is thrilled to relaunch this vital program in Timmins for another summer! By providing a free avenue for our youth to not only get active but also forge lasting friendships during these sunny months, we're not just fostering a healthier community, but one that's vibrant with connection and shared experiences,” said Lorrie Turnbull, president and CEO for the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario, in a news release.

The program was developed in 2011 and is a partnership between the YMCA, City of Timmins and Timmins Honda.

“Council’s priority is to improve access to affordable and accessible recreation. The YMCA’s Summer MobYle Program is a good example of how we can work directly with service providers to deliver opportunities that support youth, encourage activity, and build engagement,” said Mayor Michelle Boileau.
