The city-wide fire ban that's been in place for more than a month and the provincial restricted fire zone end today (July 11) at 4 p.m.
"While open-air burning can resume, the Timmins Fire Dept. urges caution and reminds residents to never leave a fire unattended and be safe and cautious around any outdoor flame," reads a City of Timmins news release.
"The Timmins Fire Department will continue to closely monitor the fire hazard status and will inform residents should a fire ban need to be reinstated."
