Sometime between the evening hours of Monday, Sept. 18 and the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 19, a four wheel Invacare Pegasus mobility scooter, valued at $4,000, was stolen from an address in the Pine Street South and Kirby area in the city of Timmins.
The unit was parked in a back yard and was not visible from the street. The key was not in the scooter at the time of the theft so the thief would have had to push it out of the driveway to complete the theft.
This theft has severely affected the independence of a local senior citizen and their ability to manage their own affairs and daily chores. The victim and their immediate family have been significantly impacted by this theft.
These criminals are depending on you to remain silent. The Timmins Police and Crime Stoppers, however, are counting on the public’s assistance to solve this case of theft.
Call Crime Stoppers right now at 1-800-222-TIPS or use tipsubmit.com to provide your information. If your tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
