TIMMINS - The winner of the January hospital lottery nearly forgot to buy tickets.
Hearst's Pierre Baillargeon won $123,242 in the January draw of the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation 50/50.
"It took us a few times to get through to Pierre as he thought we might be a telemarketer," reads the foundation announcement.
"Pierre has been playing for quite a while now and he nearly forgot to buy his tickets last month. He says he supports because it is a district hospital and he feels many people need to travel to use it, including himself."
With the windfall, he plans to pay some bills and for his son's hockey.
Tickets for the February raffle are on sale here.
