The Productivity and Innovation Centre (PIC) stands by their word when they say they help organizations during all stages of the business cycle.
Checking off another stage, PIC is launching a new regional program, Pre-commercialization Assistance Contribution (PAC), for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The program is supported by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).
PAC will help innovative SMEs access technical and business advisory services to assist them in their pre-commercialization needs that will lead to growth and competitiveness.
Program recipients will receive assistance and funding up to $5000 per business to support and prepare for the commercialization of their product or service.
“This program not only assists with commercializing the products or services of businesses today, but stimulates innovative ideas in tomorrow’s innovators and entrepreneurs in Northern Ontario,” says Fred Gibbons, Chair of Timmins Economic Development Corporation. “The Productivity and Innovation Centre’s new program helps build capacity in businesses throughout the region.
At this time, the program has limited funding for only 10 projects. Deadline for the projects is March 31, 2017. For more information on the program, visit http://www.picontario.ca/services/commercialization/
