A handwritten letter accompanied Fiona McChristie's donation to the South Porcupine Food Bank.
In the feel-good letter shared by the organization, the Porcupine girl explained why she wanted to help
"First, because (of) the pandemic a lot have been going hungry so I felt I needed to take part in raising money for a local business. I decided the food bank was very important! So, I made a lemonade stand and raised $100 for the food bank. Thank you sooo much for helping the community, you guys have helped lots," she wrote.
Treasurer Peter Davis responded to her letter, thanking her for the donation.
"Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity in operating a lemonade stand to raise funds to assist the hungry in Timmins-Porcupine," he wrote.
"We have seen an increase in people requiring food from our food bank, and your contribution will make a difference."
