A celebration of the city's diversity is on full display this weekend.
The 51st Timmins Multicultural Festival is taking over the McIntyre arena on Sunday, May 28.
The action starts at noon with the parade of nations and there's a full afternoon of entertainment planned.
Here's the schedule for the main stage:
- 12:30 p.m. - Timmins Police Pipes and Drums
- 12:50 p.m. - New Moon Singers, Pow Wow Demonstration
- 1:10 p.m. - Nepalese Dancers
- 1:25 p.m. - Maharlika Filipino Community Dancers
- 1:45 p.m. - Paul Sebalj - Croatian Community
- 2 p.m. - Zoimar Monroy & Northern Latin Flavour
- 2:15 p.m. - Bollywood Dance Group
- 2:30 p.m. - Jeff Baldock - Folk
- 2:45 p.m. - Ukrainian Performance by Kateryna and Sofia Shevchenko
- 3 p.m. - Filipino Dance by Filipino Association in Timmins
- 3:15 p.m. - Chilean Dance by the Pechuante family of Timmins
- 3:30 p.m. - Mr. Bill - Celtic Music
- 3:45 p.m. - Song Ako Ay - Filipino Association in Timmins
- 4 p.m. Kinette Club of Timmins 50:50 Draw and Close of Event
Over 30 nations are being represented at this year's event. After the entrance parade, there will be cultural booths sharing information and selling food.
Admission is a donation at the door.
