Reduced load restrictions are taking effect in Timmins.
The City of Timmins Public Works Department is installing signs to remind motorists about the bylaw that takes effect Tuesday, March 31.
"The bylaw is imperative in protecting sensitive road infrastructure, and serves to regulate the loads of commercial motor vehicles and trailers on certain highways and streets within the City of Timmins when the roads are approching a condition of compromise," reads a statement from the city.
The restrictions, which regulate the loads of commercial motor vehicles and trailers, are in place until June 15.
The roads it applies to are:

• Shirley Street from Lafleur Drive to northerly limit
• Government Road North from Highway 101 to northerly limit
• Jaguar Road from Government Road South to northerly limit
• Mahoney Road from southerly limit to northerly limit
• Sandy Falls Road from easterly limit to westerly limit
• Kraft Creek Road from Airport Road to westerly limit
• Garden Road from Government Road South to Wallingford Road
• Wallingford Road from Garden Road to westerly and easterly limit
• Government Road South from Highway 101 to Highway 101
• Dalton Road from Cameron Street to Wawaitan Falls
• McLean Drive from Timmins Gravel entrance to northerly limit
• Dorans Road from Laforest Road to northerly limit
• Norman Street from Paul Avenue to northerly limit
• Leclair Avenue from Kamiskotia Road to southerly limit
