Here's what's happening for Pride Week in Timmins

Timmins Pride Week is kicking off today.

This year's virtual festivities launch this morning (June 2) with a Pride Month proclamation and a virtual flag raising.

Here is a list of free virtual events put together by Fierté Timmins Pride:

Sunday, June 6

  • 2SLGBTQ+ Needs Assessment Project Townhall. This is a chance to learn more about the project, review the activities, meet the team working on the project and share input. Registration is via Eventbrite.

Monday, June 7

  • Two-Spirit identity from an Indigenous spiritual perspective session led by Stephanie Stephens. It starts at 7:30 p.m. Registration is available via Eventbrite.

Wednesday, June 9

Thursday, June 10

  • Live with Pride Music Night featuring artists like Paul Sebalj, BENTASH, Care-Oh, Korey Purdy and G.R. Gritt. The registration link is available here.

Friday, June 11

  • A comedy night with Elvira Kurt and Sam Sferrazza. The event, intended for a mature audience, will start at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, June 12

  • The high tea social will start at 2 p.m.

  • Drag Show hosted by Farra N Hyte and featuring Ivory Towers, Jada Hydson, Jezebel Bardot, Tash Riot and Timmins’ drag king Ryder Raw. The show is free and kicks off at 8:30 p.m.
