Northern Ontario Curling Association Youth Challenge

Friday, Jan. 4 – 6

McIntyre Curling Club

There are 42 teams participating in three divisions. The finals are at 3 p.m. Sunday. The public is welcome to stop by and see some of the best young curlers from around the region.

Crafternoon

Saturday, Jan. 5, 1 – 4 p.m.

C.M. Shields Centennial Library, South Porcupine

Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery or other craft project and sit with others while you work and share ideas.

Fun with Science Show

Saturday, Jan. 5, 2 – 3 p.m.

Timmins Public Library, 320 Second Ave.

A free science presentation and hands-on challenges with Science Timmins.

62nd Annual Juried Exhibit

Runs until Jan. 29

Timmins Museum, 325 Second Ave.

The Northern Ontario Art Association tradition continues this year. Submissions were received from 15 independent clubs in the region. The selected pieces will be travelling to 12 communities in the upcoming year.
