Kids’ Fun Day 

Friday, Aug. 16, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Participark

Timmins Police and DARE are hosting this free event. There will be sports, bouncy castles, games, face painting, hot dogs, and more.

Open Studio

Friday, Aug. 16, 1 - 5 p.m.

Timmins Museum 

A free Digital Creator event for youth ages 11 to 19 years.

Tai Chi demonstrations

Saturday, Aug. 17, 10 - 11 a.m.

Gillies Lake

The FLK Taoist Tai Chi Timmins Branch is doing demonstrations throughout the summer.

Cinematography Workshop

Saturday, Aug. 17, 1 - 3 p.m.

Timmins Museum 

A free Digital Creator workshop with special guest Tyler Levesque. It’s for youth ages 11 to 19 years. 

Italian Dinner Buffet

Saturday, Aug. 17, 6 p.m.

Dante Club 

The proceeds are to help Standard Stables make vital repairs to the barn, which was badly damaged over the winter. Tickets are $20 and available by calling 705-507-3357. 

Timmins Northstars Reunion 

Saturday, Aug. 17, 7 p.m.

McIntyre Arena

Whether you hung from the rafters to cheer on the players or laced up and hit the ice, the Northstars are having an open house for everyone. Entry is a voluntary donation to the Timmins Rock Hockey Club, who are also holding a silent auction at the event.

Open Studio

Sunday, Aug. 18, noon - 4 p.m.

Roy Nicholson Park, intersection of Pine Street North and 8th Avenue 

Meet the artists at the Porcupine Art Club. The event happens rain or shine.
