There's a busy weekend of activities

Beauce Carnaval is offering thrills and fun through until Sunday, July 10 in the parking lot of the McIntyre Community Centre in Schumacher.

Runs until Sunday, July 10 
McIntyre Community Centre, Schumacher 

Get ready for thrills and fun at this much-anticipated summer attraction. The hours are Friday, July 8 from 1-10:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 9 from 12:30-10:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 10 from 12:30-5 p.m. Check out the ticket pricing online here (tickets are discounted until the day before the carnival starts).

Mountjoy Farmers Market 
Saturday, July 9, 9 a.m. - noon 
537 Pavilion Dr.

The popular market is back in a new location, across the road from its previous site. Shop from local producers and artisans at this weekly market.

Dog Days in the Park 
Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
Riverview Dog Park

Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular dog park with a barbecue, raffle and nail trimmings. All proceeds are to help upkeep the park.

Ontario Women Anglers (OWA) Meet, Greet and Fish 
Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 
Mattagami River Boat Launch 

Meet other ladies who fish. It’s open to all female anglers ages 18 and over. An OWA membership is not needed. Some equipment is available to use if you don’t have your own equipment. Space is limited. Registration is $10.

Cars and Coffee 
Saturday, July 9, 5-8 p.m. 
Timmins Garage, 1395 Riverside Dr. 

Everyone is welcome to bring out their specialty cars, trucks, motorcycles and more. There will be a barbecue for a $5 donation to the Timmins Food Bank. Donations of non-perishable food items are also being collected. It’s happening rain or shine. There is additional parking at the Timmins Square lot across the road.

Art Show and Sale 
Runs until Aug. 15
Timmins Museum: NEC

Emerging and established artists’ work is on display in the Grey Gallery. Everyone is welcome to attend. Work on display is for sale and the buyer can take it home immediately. When a piece sells, the artist is invited to bring in another piece, which means the show also promises to be ever-changing.
