Here's where the city's removing snow this week

TIMMINS - The winter weather has arrived, which means city crews are out clearing snow.

Public works crews are doing snow removal day and night this week.

According to the City of Timmins, the schedule for overnight snow removal, which is done between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., is:

Sunday, Jan. 26

  • Algonquin from Brunette to the bridge, Wilson, Moneta from Railway to Cedar

Monday, Jan. 27

  • South Porcupine - Golden from Legion to Evans, Bruce from Legion to Lakeview, Crawford from Golden to Shamrock, Main from Strachan to Shamrock, Powell from Legion to Crawford

Tuesday, Jan. 28

  • Riverside from the bridge to Shirley, Airport road bridge, Laforest bridge

Wednesday, Jan. 29

  • Riverside from Shirley to Government, Shirley

Daytime snow removal runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will take place:

Monday, Jan. 27

  • Timmins - Elm from second to the dead end, Maple from Second to the dead end, Birch from Second to Moneta
  • South Porcupine - Huot, Front, O'Brian, Broadway, Powell from Crawford to Huot

Tuesday, Jan. 28

  • Timmins - Hemlock from Fifth to Eighth, Tamarack from Fifth to Eighth, Spruce from Sixth to Ninth 
  • South Porcupine - Moore, Quebec, Strachan

Wednesday, Jan. 29

  • Timmins - First from Mountjoy to Pine, Balsam from First to Ogden, Cedar from Kirby to Ogden
  • Porcupine - Lawrence, Viola, Ferguson, Eric Crescent

Thursday, Jan. 30

  • Timmins - Fifth from Cedar to Mountjoy, Elm from Fifth to Ninth, Maple from Fifth to Ninth

Friday, Jan. 31

  • Churches and storefronts
  • Porcupine - Clement, Renison, Michener, Bergeron, Girdwood
