Here's where the city's removing snow this week

The winter weather has arrived and that means that city crews will be out clearing snow.

Public works crews will be doing snow removal day and night this week.

According to the City of Timmins, the schedule for overnight snow removal, which is done between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., is:

Sunday, Jan. 21

  • Timmins - Algonquin from Carium Road to Highway 655

Monday, Jan. 22

  • Timmins - Algonquin from Highway 655 to Spruce 

Tuesday, Jan. 23

  • Timmins - Algonquin from Spruce to Theriault

Wednesday, Jan. 24

  • Timmins - Algonquin and Riverside

Daytime snow removal runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will take place:

Monday, Jan. 22

  • Timmins - Southern, Columbus, Montgomery 
  • South Porcupine - Essa, Broadway, O'Brian

Tuesday, Jan. 23

  • Timmins - Birch from Fifth to Ninth, Maple from Fifth to Ninth, Elm from Fifth to Ninth
  • South Porcupine - Cecil, William, Front, Huot

Wednesday, Jan. 24

  • Timmins - Wendy, Way, Kent 
  • South Porcupine - Moore, Strachan, Quebec

Thursday, Jan. 25

  • Timmins - Windsor, Middleton, Bannerman 
  • Schumacher - Fourth, Veterans, Ponderosa, Brundy, Ennis

Friday, Jan. 26

  • Timmins and South Porcupine - Churches and storefronts
