It's time to get out your orange shirts for an annual awareness event to remember the dark history and legacy of residential schools.
Sept. 30 is Orange Shirt Day, which was inspired by residential school survivor Phyllis Webstad, who had her orange shirt taken away on her first day at school. Saturday also marks the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
