With Ontario expanding access to free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests, there are eight locations in Timmins offering the tests.

Today, Ontario announced it's offering free tests at more than 2,300 grocery stores and pharmacies.

When the province provided rapid tests in earlier rollouts at the LCBO and pop-ups, no sites were offered in Timmins. Today's program offers pick-up locations across the city.

In Timmins, the locations listed on the provincial website, are:

  • DRUGStore at Dailey's Your Independent Grocer, 654 Algonquin Blvd. E.
  • Food Basics, 105 Brunette Rd.
  • Metro, 140 Algonquin Blvd. W.
  • Rexall, 119 Pine St.
  • Shoppers Drug Mart, 5-681 Algonquin Blvd. E.
  • Shoppers Drug Mart, 227 Algonquin Blvd. W.
  • Walmart, 1870 Riverside Dr.
