Hospital looking for passionate people for its advisory committee

TIMMINS - If you're passionate about making a difference, the hospital may have the perfect opportunity for you. 

Timmins and District Hospital is looking for people to join its patient and family advisory committee. 

"We're looking for people who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others," said committee member Sylvie Lamarche Lacroix in a news release. "Please consider applying if you're interested in helping to strengthen patient services at the hospital and enjoy engaging in conversation with a diverse group. We welcome all who come to the table with different experiences and backgrounds."

The committee's goal is to ensure that the experiences of patients and family members are heard and acted on. It provides feedback to the hospital on everything from patient handouts and signage, construction projects and developing new programs.

To be eligible to sit on the committee, you must be at least 18 years old and you or a family member must have been a patient at TADH in the last three years. The committee meets once a month and there may be other project work to take on.
