The situation on Highway 101 west of Timmins was improving this morning, with a lane now open near Foleyet.
On Sunday night, Ontario's 511 road information service was reporting closure in both directions between Foleyet and Chapleau due to emergency repairs after a culvert failure.
This morning, the ministry was reporting that only one lane is closed "due to a sinkhole".
Otherwise, there were no alerts posted for the highway, which connects Timmins to Foleyet, Chapleau, Wawa and Highway 17.
