Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Hazards:
Freezing rain with a few millimetres of ice build-up.
Slippery conditions due to icing.
Timing:
Ending this afternoon.
Discussion:
Above freezing temperatures are expected by this afternoon, bringing an end to the freezing rain threat.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
